Not that StarDock is locked in or anything....
But you do realize that as of the last official date we received, WE are now at 2 weeks and counting for ALPHA!!!!

At this point all I want is more journals and/or pics and/or videos. Really. Also, consider that alpha may delay too. If they don't think that they have something solid to release that day as alpha, they will delay it. So cross all the fingers of your body just in case.![]()
I don't want more journals and such! I want them to spend all their time making the alpha as good quality as possible! once the alpha is out they can (and had better) flood us with videos and pictures and stuff. (note: If I'm lucky enough to get into the alpha, I'll create tons of screens and stuff for them, provided they don't tell me not to do so)
You sound like you know for certa in you're in the Alpha. You lucky dog you...

No one said good screenshots.![]()
and honestly, I wouldn't say most of the ones we have are that "good" (the one of the monster knocking dudes into the air is pretty good, but most of the others are just generic snapshots)
i fear that demigod has pushed back even the alpha plans more than expected.
alpha july 09 maybe? ![]()
Because it would mean that beta has to be delayed too.
Frogboy's post with June 25 came after the Demigod stuff was over. So while it's possible it could be delayed again, it shouldn't be due to that.
There is no reason to believe alpha will be delayed at this point.
its true. Boogie bac seemed to think the beta might be released on time (and he would likely know) so I can't imagine that pushing it back a few weeks, and then dropping the release from "beta" to "alpha" (i.e. it can appear even less complete) would result in any further delays.
It was stated that they were ahead of schedule back just before Demigod's release. So while some of the staff had to be moved around to prevent Demigod's leaking ship from sinking, That should have been compensated by the 1st delay.
And lastly, Frogboy was one of the people who moved to Demigod, which means it would be his stuff that is behind right now. So it makes a lot of sense if he isn't posting any "oh, btw... alpha still on and stuff" journals since he's busy working to get everything ready. So unless you have something that would actually indicate a delay, don't worry about it.
I've got a lucky bear
I have a personal hatred for the DemiGod game since not only did it delay the Elemental beta planned for June, but it probably damaged considerations for multiplayer options. From what I can tell Elemental was under development before DemiGod, but was pushed aside while DemiGod development took center stage!

Well, Stardock has a responsability as a distributor. I wish other distributors were as nice and diligent as Stardock when a game launch doesn't go as planned... And you must also see the good side of it: Stardock has learned a lot from it. Personally I think that only good things can come from that experience.
Yeah, if it was EA they would have come out with an appology six months from now saying you really deserved a patch. ![]()
Back in the day, they would've just shrugged a bit, pointed, laughed and walked away.
If memory serves correctly, and that's by no means a sure thing for something pulled from such odd context, they appologized to the RA3 player base for the treatment they recieved. Someone claimed that EA was turning around on the Spore forum, mentioning the apology. Of course, then Spore came out, so...
This may have just been because an expansion was coming out, I stopped purchasing the series after Generals pissed me off with the homo terrorism crap. The only thing that makes the line any better than all the other generic crap RTS games out there is the entertaining time line stuff. Why the hell would I want to play one based on modern events?
I stopped taking an interest when their Let's-think-up-crazy-shit Department started taking LSD in the pre-production stages of CnC3. They completely ruined the Brotherhood, turning them into some post-modern teen revolutionary punk-styled 'radical' pieces of shit, and then they went completely bonkers with all the nonsensical alien crap. Don't even get me started on some of the units.
In Red Alert 3, there's an amphibious mobile Anti-Air transport with a mounted clown cannon for launching your soldiers. It also features a Schoolgirl Psychic on the battlefield. With the upcoming expansion, there's also going to be a fortress-unit in the form of a disembodied head and cyber-archers. Is it just me, or have CnC completely left the realm of "interesting yet within the realm of internal realism" for happy-happy la-la land?
Never underestimate what can happen when people say 'Yes' to drugs!
If I didn't hate taking the easy way out, I'd kill myself in despair. ![]()
I like C&C:Generals simply because it's different, and it had decent gameplay. Especially if it was slowed down. I had no idea how fast the game actually was until I upgraded my computer.
The only redeeming thing about C&C3 was Kane. The only redeeming things of RA3 is the soundtrack and the fact that it actually has better gameplay than C&C3, though not very good still.

I can't wait for the Alpha.
I'll be bringing my laptop with me on vacation so Ic an play it... if I am chosen of course. But in anycase I am sure we will get plenty of pictures from the game once it's in Alpha phase
don't forget you promised a game Solam ![]()
I'm not going on vacation, but I do hope it plays on my laptop. I also hope that at least early in the beta we get some Lan or Hotseat options.
