Kick Function. Please!

Gamester_47 decides to alt-tab while pinging at 1900+ Ping

Gamester_47 at 1900 Ping Alt Tabbing at crystal

Whilst I applaud the great strides the SD/GPG teams have made in connectivity leniency/tolerance, having players persistently staying in-game at over 1,900 ping... is a joke. Especially, when they decide to spite everyone else in the game by alt tabbing at their health crystal. I know, I know, getting games set-up takes top priority. However, games with less disruptive players (who decide to feed etc) would be excellent.

Hey I was in that game! Just like to get the word out, DvorakQ is being too lenient; if Gamester_47 joins your game just kick him immediately. Not only is he a huge lagger and a spiteful whoosit, hes a TERRIBLE torch bearer :D. But seriously, dont let this dude play.

The Kick Function should also be something that can be turned on or off in the game options menu in the lobby.  That way people opposed to the Kick Funciton can leave a game with the setting on.  I'm ambivalent between Kick being based off of host discretion/majority vote.

Definitely something the game needs pretty quick.

Kick him for the terrible ping and for the alt-tabbing, but kicking someone who is not a good player is downright wrong and not in the spirit of gaming at all, not at least within Stardock anyway.

Help the noobs out, don't kick them. Everyone was a noob at some point, and who knows ya might unearth a great player and teammate.

Kick should be only allowed for those who have ping over some limit. Host should be able to set this limit under game options. Then thing like in DOTA should appear, noticing that a player's ping exceeds the set limit. When some time passes, like 45 seconds, it should allow all players to click DROP button, and if majority does, player gets booted.

If you just allow Kick, this will lead to situations like "someone owns me, i will try to convince others to kick him". Or "he is a noob kick him"... Hey, you all were pros from the start, yes? From your first game...

Although kick should be probably allowed, but only the team of the one being kicked should vote, and 100% of votes (except person being kicked) must be required for it to allow kicking.

Agreed. Not sure how it could be implemented solidly, though...Gaining the cooperation of everyone in game can sometimes tend to be tedious..
