Does PSP X2 via Impulse use GOO or Protexis?

The title pretty much says it all.  I'm a long time PSP user (from version 2) but stopped upgrading after the magical version 7.04.  However, there are a few limitations and I've considered upgrading but have been put off by the Protexis licensing.  Now that I see some Corel products on Impulse, I'm wondering if they use GOO instead of Protexis or if Impulse is just distributing the same versions found elsewhere (which is what I suspect but I thought it worth asking just in case).

Impulse is distributing the same version that is available digitally elsewhere.

That's what I figured but thanks for the reply.  Too bad though - I really dislike Protexis as it's very invasive.  Think I just stick with my old version :-)

Sorry, Stardock, but why are you still selling PSP X2 when X3 is out.  As of Feb. 07, 2010 that is what appears to go into the cart.  From what I can see this

is 12.0 and not 12.5 (Ultimate).  Also to avoid the Protexis problem, order the non-digital version from Corel (you can do an upgrade from a previous

version from there if you already own Paint Shop Pro).   The box version is available eleswhere but then you don't get the upgrade price.  I have read

conflicting information about Paint Shop Pro X2 and Windows 7 with it being said that there are installation probems.  However, I have read "replies" to

this with many people saying they had no problems with installing or running PSP X2 on Win7.  The price for PSP X2 Ultimate (12.5) has now dropped in

price from many sellers.  Paint Shop Pro X3 offers significant new features.  Special prices on the software can be found at various times.  For an overview

I have PSP X2 and run it on Windows 7 with no problem.  Personally, I like the last Jasc version 9 better.  Haven't tried the latest version (X3) though.  I am considering my options and may switch to Adobe Photoshop.
