It applies to historical moments, poems, novels, and perhaps odd things like a cycle of plays or operas. No clothing ensemble or Hollywood franchise can be epic because they are fundamentally ephemeral things.
Banned because I knew that much. I read about Homer in A.P. Euro last year, and read the Odyssey in Language Arts. I was referring to my edited post. Perhaps I should've mentioned this in my ban...
