I dont want to make a huge post again, but all i know is that: "The deeper in the jungle you go, the more difficult it is to get out", just in case you dont get it, it means that get away now that you can, because if this thing goes on for years, you will never be able to get over her.

All in all, take Ryat's advice, and do it.

As it seems to me, you have 3 Choices:

1. Stay as her friend forever, (or as long as you can), protect her from any harm, and die with that bittersweet satisfaction of her being happy.

2. Try your luck and go for it, meaning that: you tell her how you feel, and risk of losing her forever, or get what you dream about and be with her.

3. You stop being her friend, never see her again, get over her, move on (cruel, painful, worst than detoxing from drugs)

 Morpheas: In our e-conversations, I decided to bug her (to get the topic off of me) and ask her who this guy was she liked. She told me that she'd only tell me if I guessed right, and that I knew him and that he's in our grade.   Um... WHAT IF IT'S ME? WHAT DO I DO THEN?  Also: I'm fairly sure I will write a book now.  I think I'll do option 1 of the three you gave, I'm not good enough for her, never will be, and she deserves better. That, and who else will she go to when I'm gone? I'm her last guy friend...
