It depends on the site. Karma given on a specific game forum section is only added to your profile and displayed to people on that game's site. Karma given on the off-topic forum is added to every site's count. I post both from Elemental, where I somehow got 55 karma, and GalCiv2, where I have 42. I guess 28 of those are from the off-topic forum, if they're showing up on whatever site Morpheas is on.
