Does anyone ever save online games to come back to them later, or do most people try to fit in a game in one sitting?
I did
but then the plyrs were never on at the same time
so then ur just stuck fighting the comp
i kno high level plyrs ply pick up games, but that is because they r high level and all ply pretty much amongst themselves

Yes, most games fit in one sitting. Online multiplayer is very different from single player and a 3v3 or a 4v4 on a single star map is normally decided within 2 hours.
In my experience the high level players generally don't resume a saved game. They start and end it in one session. If the game ends for a reason - e.g. MD, they generally restart a new game (maybe with same teams depending on if they all come back or not)
