Impulse Updating

I've been attempting the past few days to update my copy of Sins of a Solar Empire through Impulse. I am trying to update from v1.05 to v1.15. Whenever I attempt to do so using Impulse, the update downloads fine, however it will not finish the validation, even if I let it run for several hours. I downloaded the latest version of Impulse from Sins' website before attempting to download the updates. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

Reinstall the most current Impulse client from here: Impulse Client - Full

then, click on the orb in the upper left

Preferences | Reset Data

Right click on the game and choose validate.

If that still failes, try to download again
