patch problems

idk, it's something with the install process i think....

Some kind of script error....

just my 2 cents.

I suggest uninstalling the game, reboot your PC, then go back into Impulse and re-install. It should install to the most current version, 1.13

I have a problem patching too and if you say reinstall this will be the second time I have had to reinstal impulse ralated products.

I'll currently patch 1.12 looking to go 1.13.  sins builds a file list and then connecting..., after that there is a download error.

You should manually remove the game folder, and delete 2 Registry Keys before you'll be able to re-install cleanly.

Go to C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire (or where ever you installed the game) and delete the main folder.

Then launch the System Registry (Start-> run, and type regedit)
Look for and delete the following Keys;

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sins
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sinsentrench

For Vista 64 bit;
HKLM>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node>Stardock>Drengin.net>sins
HKLM>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node>Stardock>Drengin.net>sinsentrench

Then, reboot your PC and go back to Impulse and try installing the base game. Make sure it installs to 1.13 version, test it out before then installing entrenchment.

This is what is happening to me.  I go to patch Sins and it gives me a download error after exactly 319 bytes.  Same place each time.  I checked the Impulse logs, and it seems like Impulse cannot find the file on the server(s).

Does anyone know how to fix this?
