Autorun won't start

I am trying to install the game and it won't even let me get past clicking on the autorun, I get a GC2Launch.exe has stopped working and it says the fault Moduel Name is DXAxHost.dll, any help would be nice and thanks in advance

There are a variety of reasons the launcher might not work--the simplest answer is to simply ignore it. Just open the disc in explorer and run setup.exe directly, and you should be set.

Did that game installed, now everytime I try to start the game it doesn't work for the same reason

Likewise, just make a shortcut to GalCiv2.exe in the location you installed at (if you have the expansions, they also have their own exe's in their folders).

I will add that unlike most games you don't need the CDs to play. And this means using the CD's autoruns just an unecessary waste of time (since inserting, and reading a CD is way longer than double clicking a shortcut)
