This is a pretty simple bug, the colony pods upgrade on the vasari starbase is buildable without being researched. Doesn't seem to be any complicated way to trigger it, it just doesn't require the research.
Did you track this across multiple games? Because I don't remember it being usable before I researched it.
I've seen this, too. Every game I've played, I don't need to research colony pods.
Yeah I stand corrected-- just finished a game as Vasari and sure enough I didn't need to research colony pods to use them.
Yup yup, consenus shows it's a bug!! I've seen it too and saved screenshots...somewhere...wherever they are...
Yeah, I can confirm as well. Don't need the research in any game I played.
I research it anyway because I hate cheating (even though it's not really cheating against an AI).
