Impulse Phase 2X Beta

Impulse Phase 2 has gone into beta.

To get it, make sure you have the latest version (just open up Impulse).

Then go to preferences by clicking on the Stardock orb and choose "use Impulse betas" to get access to the latest/greatest editions.

NOTE: The beta build removes the Impulse dock. We are going to release the Impulse dock as a free download later this week. This way, people who don't want the dock don't have to deal with it and the people who want it can get it.

OOOOH, me likey!  :D

I was able to hide the tabs I'll never use, change the options to show only installed programs, etc. etc.  This is SOOO much cleaner.  Well done!

The History link for applications doesn't seem to function anymore.  I always like to check out what's changed in new versions.  :\

Click the Stardock logo in the upper left corner. Select "More Preferences." On the general tab, the last check box is "Use beta versions of Impulse."

When I go into explore and try to go to the My Colors theme Encounters, Impulse closes down and then when asked to send an error report, it says it cannot due weberror report link is not valid, doesn't regonise it, then it asks me to restart without sending error report and it opens again, is this a problem my side or yours?????? I still can't get into store to buy anything

Crashing immediately on update on me too. Crashes as soon as you try and start the program.

I have my oreferences set to accept Beta versions yet I don't see "Use Impulse Beta" I see some people commenting on it so thwy were able to do it. Mine doesn't give me the choice. Note I live in Canada

Everything is working perfectly so far.  Went through the store, put stuff in cart and went to check out.  All worked great.  I liked the orange color better too.  I wish we could make changes.:thumbsup:

I think that's about it. It crashes at start. I restarted me pc and the error came up immediately since the impulse fast start is in the registry.

If I click send error report this is the error that comes up

Does the separation of the Dock from Impulse mean the Dock will be independently configurable?

The few tweaks that where made really improved things a lot.

I will download the dock when it becomes available again.  Didn't really like it at first but then I came to use it and my opinion of it has changed.

As some others have mention a capablility to have some skin options would be nice.

A very nice update gentlemen and ladies, but then that's what you always present to us. :thumbsup:

"Update"-tab doesn't change colour if updates are available. (Yes, I noticed the writing in the left hand corner, but it is not as obvious as a red tab)

Otherwise it feels faster than the last version. I like the blue too.

I still miss the ability to drag/move certain items from one tab to another. E.g I have moved the MyColors-suites to another tab so they don't clogg-up the 'Desktop'-tab. This was only possible by dragging the items from within the Impulse-dock to the newly created tab. With the dock gone, this is no longer possible.

Hmmmmm.......left click on orb and crash......right click on orb and crash. Will not ever click on orb thingie again. XO
