Grrrr...What's wrong?

Hello all and hope I can get some help.  New computer came with Windows Vista (Home Edition) installed.  Problem is I can't get Window Blinds to work with it.  Have I wasted my money? X(

WindowBlinds has been tested to ensure it works with Windows Vista, so you know it is compatible

If your looking for help with this you need to provide more info.

Did you have the 30-day trial version of WB installed?

Can you open Window Blinds?  If so, open it click on System info, Copy text into clipboard, reply here with info (paste and post)

the first thing to always remember with a computer is to remain calm, why, most poblems can be traced back to human error. :O    It has happened to all of us at one time or another.

As butch123 stated WindowsBlinds has been tested to work with Vista.

How about walking us through the problem.

Can you get WB to download?  If so, open up WindowBlinds configuration and click on system information.  Copy what you see there and post it here.  It maybe possible to tell whether or not you got a good download or not.

Very important, are you running as admin?  Is UAC turned on?

By the way I'm on an XP system but it is easy to pick up on all the right questions to ask.|-)

Thanks everyone for the responses and the offer to help.  It's very much appreciated.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled Window Blinds. It downloads just fine and I can open it, but when I click on a wb to apply it, all I get is the default, and when I try the wallpaper , wb crashes (without even selecting a wallpaper).  That's as far as I get.  Below is system info and although I was able to copy it, it appeared to be overlayed with another of the Wb windows

WB worked really good on my old comp with Windows XP, so, I'm at a loss and, as you might tell, not all that savvy about computers.  Appreciate any help you can give me.

Is this a 64bit version of Vista?  Home Premium 64bit?

How did you download and install WindowBlinds, stand alone installer, Stardock Central or Impulse?

This is 32-bit Home Premium.  Do you think that's the problem?

Downloaded from Stardock Central.  I uninstalled and re-downloaded and installed.  Am now constantly getting message

"WindowBlinds Configuration has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

You should try Impulse instead of Stardock Central for this.   Impulse Full Set-up.

1) De-install Window Blinds

2) Re-boot

3) Install Impulse

4) Make sure Impulse is set to Full Allow in your firewall and that you run it with full Administrator access.

5) Install Window Blinds.

Thanks, I'll take your suggestion and try Impulse.
