Really, I think this whole "gamers Bill of Rights" thing is just silly.
Don't get me wrong, I like Stardock as much as the next guy, but to me it just seems like a cheesy public relations stunt meant to showcase the buisness image that Stardock is trying to project, rather than actually accomplishing significant change.
Are they gonna do? Go beat EA over the head and say "this is the gaming buisness done right!!"? Would it work if they did? There are a couple of things to keep in mind:
1) There are a lot of devs and games who think this is a really good idea.
2) Stardock is holding themselves to this bill of rights.
3) Change can start with a single person (or entity in this case).
So, while I agree that this is a PR stunt, I also think that there's meaning behind it, and that Stardock IS trying to accomplish something.
How does the saying go: "To move a mountain you must start with a single rock." Or something like that (haven't played Civ 4 in a while).
