Late for a Morning Message!

With palms together,
Good Morning Everyone,

As you may know, mornings are probably my favorite time of day.  As I write this it is 5:02 AM. I have disturbed the stillness of the morning by setting Robbie our robot sweeper to work, as we as the dish washer.  Pepper, Tripper, and Pete-kitty have abandoned me to the safely and quiet of the Master Bedroom where My Little Honey is still asleep.

The good news is that we will begin our Internet and home telephone, television service this coming Friday. I am very much looking forward to the ability to interact immediately with my Internet friends, read the Times online, and generally feel connected to the world around me.

On the other hand, the bad news is, with the news bits and pieces I do hear I am not so sure television and media news as such is  a good idea.  There is a certain toxicity in the news, and the news of late is quite disturbing.

The really good news, though, is that we were given a closing date and time: tomorrow at 1:00 PM. It will feel good to finally be able to hang pictures and otherwise complete this house as home.

Last night we had six attendees at Temple Beth El's Meditation group. We sat in silence in the sanctuary.  It was a delightful and peaceful experience. I invite more of you to attend next Monday evening!

Shortly, I will go into my Zendo and begin my morning practice.  I am looking forward to this 'backward step'. It is a step into a deliberate union with Infinity. I sit with all my ancestors: all of humanity. And in the process, witness eternal stillness. It is an excellent practice, I highly recommend it.

Be well.
