fighters

when every i use carrier ships the fighters always attack the structures and not the enemy fleet . how do i change this ?

You can order them to attack the enemy ships. But the reason why I think is because they take out defensive platforms/hangars while your ships take the enemy fleet out.

Generally, units will attack what they're best at. You'll have to manually order them to attack other stuff.

Manual attacking can be very affective if you have 20 or more fighter squadrons/bomber squads. Just select them all and assign them a shortcut such as ctrl+1 and take out specific targets with relative ease.
