When there just isn't enough time...

Lately my output here at JU has been, well, slack...  There just hasn't been enough time, or at least non-busy time, to sit and write anything of substance.  Work (my day job) has been hectic, if not downright exhausting.  Things have been crazy after a co-worker retired and then sadly took ill soon after.  Thankfully he's getting better, though still not permitted to drive for a while, but I wanted to help him and make sure he was ok and have used some of the little free time that I had to help get him to and from and help him around his house a bit.

In addition, like several others that have been frequent participants here at JU, there's also been the question of what to write about or on.  Yeah, yeah, I could just start hammering away at politicians on either end of the spectrum, but that has gotten pretty boring.  Stupid comments from Nancy Pelosi not withstanding (you'll find her picture in the dictionary next to 'pot calls kettle black'), along with complete ignorant statements/comments by Jesse Jackson, and the passing of Tony Snow as well.  It's just that the amount of materials that really deserves or needs commentary hasn't been that high lately, and thus I've not felt as compelled to write articles or make time to write articles.

I'd love to get back into a regular habit and expect I will as the news cycles start picking up again, and the level of stupidity that goes on out there picks up enough to deserve having it ridiculed and made obvious for the world to see.  Until then, I hope everyone is having a great summer and hope too that there's time in there for folks to rest and relax and just catch their breath a bit.

Glad to see you around, Terp.

I enjoy reading even just journal-y stuff from you.

Again thanks, though typically I find I'm in need of something to inspire the writing and lately the inspiration just hasn't been there as much, drained away somewhat by long work weeks and other events eating up my time.

Since I have a sec, I'll take it and say I hope all is well for you and yours.  Hopefully life back in Texas is finding you all well.

I am infrequent as well, but every once in a while, something monumentally stupid catches my attention (outside of politics as they are in the summer doldrums), and I pen one.

When the weather cools and the tempers heat up, JU will be back to snuff. ;)
