'The Witcher Enhanced Edition' Delayed

CD Projekt RED has announced that the Enhanced Edition of The Witcher has been delayed from May to an unannounced release date. The developers attribute the delay to their goal of making “Witcher: Enhanced Edition as close to a flawless product as possible.”

The team is taking the extra time to polish the title for a worldwide launch with the exact date coming soon. As detailed in the original announcement the Enhanced Edition will feature highly re-written and re-recorded languages and dialog mainly for English and German. In fact, CD Projekt RED has re-written over 5000 lines of the script as part of the process.

Other major enhancements include a drastically reduced loading time of 80% and enhanced fighting precision. Witcher: Enhanced Edition will contain the newly upgrade title (a patch will be made available for free to purchasers of the original), the D’jinni Adventure Editor, two official adventures, the official soundtrack, an album of music inspired by The Witcher, a game guide, a map of The Witcher’s world and more.
