Yea, same problems here, both SDC and the forums were down for the count for a little while. They seem to be up and running fine now though.

I know what happened, that rotten troll wanted to take over again, looks like po needs to get his thumper out and start thumping that troll.

It's been dreadfully slow for the past week or so - on and off. Several times I have just given up and gone elsewhere. I lost count of the number of times it took OVER TWO MINUTES for a thread to load or to post a reply. I've got a high speed connection and when I went to other sites they loaded instantly. Same if I swopped browsers. Very poor, very poor indeed.

Perhaps we need to go buy a new set of sneakers for the Stardock Server Treadmill Hamsters  :NOTSURE: 

And that reply took 54 seconds from the moment I hit post reply to appearing. Sheeeeeeeesh!!!

It's still crawling for me. I click to read a post and the progress bar just sits half way for 2+ minutes and then half the time I get a "Page Not Found" error. Just as bad or worse trying to post. Let's all pitch in for some new "Blades" for the ole IBM servers.

I had the same problems last night .. even got taken to the "Egads Coding pidgeon" (505 page)   

YES very slooow. I thought the Egads page was funny when I first saw it, but now it's getting on my nerves.

I think its time to get some new bigger and better servers ... surely Stardock can afford the odd one or two ? ?

Goddam server is Fubar ... sorry for the double post guys .. I got to the egads page after waiting for more then 5 minutes ..

      

We're looking into it. Traffic is way up due to OD 2008 being released.

When I submitted my last post above I got the Egads page. So I said the hell with it and I closed out the page and I just came back and there it is.  

Is that what it is. I bought the new Cosmos skin and it took about an hour to download.

Also, for what it's worth, lots of either duplicate posts or posts just not there after the long waits. On the times the post is not there, more often than not, there is a post or two by others that was not there previously.

As if simultaneous posts by different people are 'confusing' the servers   




It's becoming standard practice to copy my post before hitting Post Reply ... just in case
