So, how can I view those neat-o mesh files in XSI? Anybody have much success with making/implementing new models?

There's a community-made importer somewhere around here that got pushed off the main page because of the new beta tools. I don't think the beta tools can import, just export.

With that said, pretty much everything works as far as model imports (there are some LOD issues with some models I've worked on though). Even separate meshes can be attached as you can see here on the turrets:
