How do I tell my Pc that Galciv is installed

I've just spent hours (literally) downloading Galciv as an install, it seemed to go (albeit incredibly slowly) ok and the game plays. However when I go back to Stardock to download the manual, or bonus parts etc it tells be that Galciv is not installed - so it won;t install. If I download these to archive they unzipp as corrupted files and I cant use them - Help Please...
