Need some help with my washer....

I could give you some ideas, but mine would be the hard way. If noone suggests something relatively simple, I'll chime in.

Gid:  I don't care about it being hard (and I'm guessing that by that you mean it's going to take some brute strength?)...Dave's going to be here to help.  He doesn't know how to do it either!

Do you still have the instrusction manual? That might tell you, and if you know anyone who does plumbing or other stuff like this they might be able to help.

Nope.  The washer and dryer are 10 years and 3 house moves old.....god only knows where they are now.

I found an article on the internet that says that you put in through an extra spin cycle, then unhook it and tip it on its side to get the rest of the water out.  I think that Dave and I will try that on Monday.....unless anyone has any better suggestions!

Dharmagrl: Wish I could help, but I'm doing good to know which buttons to push to make mine turn on!

dharma, my suggestion was going to be to remove the pump (at the bottom of the washer), then the water should just drain out with gravity.

I would try the internet suggestion first, though. I'm just thinking like a guy and probably making it more difficult than it has to be.

Wahine:  Mine has dials, so it's easy enough for me to work.  Buttons would just confuse me....

Gid:  I think that's what we're going to do.  The packing supervisor will be here tomorrow, so I'll ask him then if he has any suggestions.

Most newer washers have a drain valve. I would suggest looking for it on the back of the washer
