It's OK to be an Imbecile!
Society says so.

Do you think anyone can isolate the point in time, that collectively, as a human race, we decided that it’s ok to be an imbecile?
It’s a simple fact of life – about 50% of the people that you meet, will be below average. Does it make me a bad person to sit, in shock and awe; dumbfounded at the absolute idiocy some people are capable of displaying?
I wrote an article some time ago – how Idiots like Chicken and I have to tell you, is it a curse to be smarter than average, because these idiot’s obviously have and adverse affect on my state of mind!
I was sipping my latté this morning, on my way to work, and I see a warning label – no doubt inspired by the threat of litigation “Caution: This beverage is extremely hot” I mean – no shit Sherlock. I know I shouldn’t take offence at this inane warning, because it’s not directed at me – because, well, I know it’s extremely hot, that’s how I like my latté, but I was still offended, because as a race – we have become complacent – it’s ok to be stupid these days.
You see warnings on lighters “don’t light near face” come on… what the devil is that supposed to mean? I would argue that any moron who does not know that a lighter is not supposed to be ignited near ones face, well, they shouldn’t be smart enough to operate the device anyway!
Is it pointless for me to whinge about this? Probably!
What can we do to encourage a bit of brain power though? Because of these imbeciles, the smarter versions of the Human Species are all taken for idiots as well, and when we ‘smarter’ people use our smarts, we are accused of arrogance.
I know those that read this aren’t stupid enough to handle and extremely hot beverage irresponsibly, I have used too many multi-syllable words so the idiots who like chicken would have stopped reading half way through… Do you think as one of those ‘above average’ people – it’s our responsibility to call idiots on idiocy?
I could be brash and blame the American judicial system – you can pretty easily acknowledge it’s the US constitution or whatever that allows for litigation after people show extreme signs of moronic behaviour.
People just seem to have disregarded all personal responsibility… you can make the same mistake a million times, but until you learn to accept the only person responsible for spilling hot coffee on your trousers resulting in scolding is you, you will always be a moron, thanks to litigation, you could be a rich moron, but a moron none the less.
BAM!!!
