I give up

The Altarians were kicking everyones ass. The arceans declared war on me because of that disgruntled worker event. So I held my own and researched alliance. Thinking if I could unite a couple races and fight off the altarians, I allied with the yor and the torians. I gave the alliacne tech as a gift and resumed to try and finish off the alcarians who had one world left. My "allies" who I also gave them battleship and corvette tech did not declare war. Instead they made an alliance with the arceans and declared war on me. So, the good races of the galaxy ( I was also good) declared war on the person who gave them tech to try and save them. I am so sick of this f**king game

so my score is wins 0, losses 6. Everytime it's either to uber ships or crap like that.

forgot to add the smiley. I love the game, I just wish the jump from beginner to sub-normal wasn't so great. I'm probably just retarded :)

I'm about to make the leap to "normal" (or whatever it's called). I'm about to beat my 3rd game in a row on beginner, and I'm almost ready to take the plunge.

Such is life when you have to actually pay attention to work and family and can only game for about 1 hour a day!

I'm with you. The game seems considerably harder with sub-normal AI's than with Beginner AI's. I'm sorta holding my own in my current Sub-Normal game. But I've meanwhile started another game at Beginner level to try and work out some of the stuff I've read about here. In my first few games, I didn't sell tech at all. This time around, I'm finding that it helps my economy quite a bit. I hope they fix the diplomacy slider crash bug soon though.

I've noticed that too.

Completed my first game on cakewalk, and as that was a fairly accurate description of it..... moved all the AI's up to sub-normal. The drengin were up in the top left corner of the map with only 2 systems. so I thought I had to worry about the torians who had loads of systems. Only thing is, the drengin seemed to be compensated for their apparent lack of systems by 3 class20+ planets.... they get something called draganol event and their military goes strait through the roof.... ouch. since then they've been taking systems left right and centre. The last game was somewhat boring, but this one is anything but! I just wish that the torians with theyre huge number of planets, and dreadnought technology, had actually built some to defend themselves! Current status is I went mad on trading techs and ship building and went and crushed the drengin home systems, now their population base is much reduced and they don't have as many ships.... Thing is the 20% war tax left me with huge debt!

I love this game! LOL
