game locks up how do I fix the problem, is there any support site?

I am running on p4,2.8 gig with radn excel grphic card in Xp, game locks up, I have hyper threading.can anyone help?

There is a bug thread and a few threads which have solutions to some issues.

If you do not have the latest directx driver updating it may help.

I find turning autosave of and some features help.

I do find run into the game lock up occassionally but usually just restore my game and continue.

Mel3, at what point does it lock up? Does it lock up your entire computer forcing you to reboot, or can you alt tab out of the program?
