Can frigate leveled like CapitalShip?

One way of doing it is to change the skin from a capital to a frigat.

But else i dont think its possible atm

Thats possible through the ship files. Just need to define the leveling for all the ships.

"Just" is very easy to say.
i have "just" tried that and its harder than one might think.
Levelling is currently only defined in the gameconstants file and they require a very specific structure to their shipfiles.
Just adding/changing the values in the frigates file doesn´t work.
In the end you have something more like what multianna said:
A Capitalship that looks and fights like a frigate, but it will still have all the traits of a capitalship.

Thats what I meant, just make all the ships capital ships and adjust their leveling values, as well as the obvious HP speed etcetcetc.

Its allot of work but its fairly simple and straightforward.

Levelling values (at what xp amount they level) is not possible, as this is not in the ship file but in the gameconstants and can only be changed universally as of now (for all ships and races) a frigate kill will also give always as much xp as a capship kill, as its in the same file, if you want levelable frigates

I'm thinking another way, modify a cursier with 3 levels like missile turret(Captilship Carrier's 1st ability). And add 3 level research on this cursier access-research. But, how can I built this 3-leveled curiser in LightFactory?
