i was wondering what this game does better than master of orion 2 other than just having better graphics?

The AI and the diplomacy is much better. And your ships can go over the entire map, not just the stars. There is also influence that works similar o culture in civ 4 if you have tried it.

However you do not have any control over the space battles, and I often miss that. But all in all galciv is a better game.
