Desktop X Professional error message upon installing on windows vista

I have windows Vista ultimate and was running the regular client version of Desktop X which worked with no problems. Well, after two years I decided I wanted Desktop X Professional. So I uninstall the old Desktop X remove from regedit, rebooted, and install Desktop X Professional 3.20. Desktop X Pro welcome screen loads up, and I click Load Desktop,click a desktop theme to load and get the message "Desktop.exe has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"

Any ideas?

Which version of Winodws are you running?

Do you possibly have a security app (antivirus, antispyware, etc) running that may be blocking scripts?

There really isn't any additional functionality in the Pro version (that you wouldn't find in the standard version) that would cause anything to break. The ability to export your widgets as standalone applications (gadgets) is a really cool feature, but this alone wouldn't cause that type of problem.

I am running Vista Ultimate! ATI Radeon graphic card HD2600 Direct 10 only one month old. I am now able to get Desktop Pro to run but weird thing is sometimes it crashes. If I go to load desktop and click the desktop I have save on my hard drive it crashes. However, if I click create and go from that direction, it does not crash. So I was able to get it working, with a few crashes here and there, I can deal with that.....I disable my antivirus and antispyware before running the program, didn't help much. You think the new version 3.50 will fix this issue?

Any Ideas?

I think your supposed to. Anyway no other ideas, sorry. Maybe try contacting Stardock and ask them. Hope 3.5 fixes alot of things because a number of things are wrong. That's probably why you don't see Gef making anymore DX themes..Good luck..
