non admin user cannot use ObjectDock

I finally did it!  After a couple months using the free edition of Objectdock, I decided to give back and purchase OD+.

I looked at the previous posts prior to installation since I'm also a Windows 2000 user; I installed V1.90 and then updated via Stardock Central.  Works like a charm on my admin account.

Unfortunatly, logged in as a regular user, when I run ObjectDock.exe, it gives me the following error:

"Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied."

I tried installing it from that account but it tells me I don't have the rights but that once installed via an admin account, it should be available to the other accounts.

Odd...

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

It should work - I don't have OD+ & am on XP but I've had no issues with running any of SD's apps on nonadmin accounts.

If you change the other account to admin does it run? if it runs will it run on startup?
If it runs on startup, will it still run on startup after changing the account back to nonadmin?

Do what the troll suggests. If it still doesn't work log on your admin account and rightclick the entire OD+ folder. Select properties and sharing. Make sure that nonadmin users have rights to the folder.

Sorry for the delay.

I'm not sure what I did, I tried a couple of things, starting with your suggestions and it works perfectly now, in admin or not.

Thanks a lot!
