Its now Wednesday after 10 pm. I have yet to receive a phone call from the handsome stranger at the bar. And the major problem with this---the handsome stranger and I share a mutual friend (A2) who happens to be out of town this week until Friday. A1 thinks maybe he just lost my number and is trying to get in touch with A2. So in the event he lost my number, he can't get it until Friday anyway. But I doubt that is it. I am sure that he just asked to be nice and really has no desire to contact me.

Its so frustrating. You think you make a good impression on someone, they seem interested, they ask for your number and then they don't call! I was being patient with the whole three day rule crap and other dating "rule" nonsense, but this is ridiculous! Single life sucks. I have no control over the situation whatsoever. I just don't understand--I am not hideous looking, I am only relatively psycho---and no one is interested in me. It's not like I have a collection of waiting admirers. I am just here by myself trying not to think about the phone not ringing. Waiting for the phone to ring makes me think about the prior month of pain and suffering and just makes me want to give up!

Maybe I got my hopes up because I have been so far removed from the world of dating. I can't be getting my hopes up like this anymore. Its not healthy and I just don't know what to do anymore. GGGRRRHHH!

I'm sorry you're having such a bad time of things. It sucks that you have to.

If you can stand it: Don't sit around by the phone waiting. You put your life on hold when you do that. Get out of the house. Go do something. Go to a movie if you can. Go window shopping. Go spending shopping. Volunteer (yeah, yeah, Dear Abby stuff, but still).

You sound like an interesting person, so don't give up hope or anything. You do have your own life to live. Enjoy it by yourself for awhile.

oh, Muggaz--please tell me you don't play games...they are just so pointless...either you're interested or you're not...argh.

But I do agree with werewolf--there's no point sitting around waiting for someone to call...a watched phone doesn't ring (hmm...that might be a watched pot never boils...but you get the drift)...If he calls, he calls...if not, you didn't need him anyway.

Shades, Like I have said before, dont hate the player, hate the game.

I regretably, well not so much regretably inform you, that I do play games, because its the only way to get a chick attracted to you... Chicks are the ultimate sub-concious players of the game...

As soon as a guy tells you he likes you, it's like you switch of... This is no fault of your own, its just your crap genetic makeup.. thats all...

This isn't true in every case, however, it's a general rule I live by.

Muggaz, sweetie...I think that you are tarring all of us chickies with the same brush and that's not entirely fair.  The girlies YOU associate with might "switch of" but liberated, confident, beautiful women such as Shades and myself don't play silly games like that.


Playing games will attract a certain type of girl (please not I said 'girl' not 'woman')..as I think you already know.

Girls I assosciate with tend to be my own age... and yes, a majority of 18 - 22 year old females play the 'game' So i have merely adapted to my environment... Don't you think I wish chicks my age weren't stupid? Unfortunately they aren't as confident and liberated as ladies such as you and shades, simply because they haven't seen the light yet...

Seriously though...I'll give you the fact that many people play games...I just am of the opinoin that the games not worth playing and anyone playing the game is not worth my time.
