can anyone help I can't play the game will drop out to the point that it shuts down my laptop

I have played the game foe some time I have never played it to the end. the has crashed on me before but has never made my laptop completely shut down. it is like the computer has been asked to shut off. i'm playing on huge gal norm with five alians

Might be a heat issue? If there is a way you can check you're temp of you're video card I would check it before you start the game and then in mid play stop it and check it again.

Please go to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2 (or wherever you installed the game at), open the debug.err file you find there in notepad, and copy/paste the contents into a post here. If this is a DA report, you'll find the debug in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar instead. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.
