Does anybody know where I can download user designed ships? I can't seem to find any in galciv2.

Goto the library for user mods/ships/and other various downloads. Most have installation instructions and requirements in the readme.txt. The library can be reached by the library button on the left of this screen.

If you're interested in having totally unique ships, download Kryo's hull mod and design your own. It is the mod for ship design. Between this mod and what comes with DA, the possibilites are virtually limitless.
