Is there a way to get rid of planet bonus tiles so that all planets are even?

I don't think there is. They are hardcoded into the game AFAIK.

they are not hard coded. you can mod them, and so you can probably remove them entirely. i think the folder is planetbonuses or something like that; i can't check because i'm at work. wait a few and kryo or another wonderful and knowledgable person should be along shortly.

You can change the icons and names, but you can't alter the likelihood (or not) that they appear.
