Starbase effects...?

Hi, I'm new to the game.

My question has to do with starbases. Each seems to have an area of effect. In the case of overlapping areas of effect, do the bonuses the starbases provide just apply once to ship/planets/trade routes within that area or do they double (or triple..etc.)? Ie, if I have a trade route that passes through two economic starbases areas of effect, do I get the +10% revenue(or whatever it is) once or twice?

The effects of a starbase do overlap, your trade route/planet will get two bonuses if its covered by two starbases.

They do accumulate/overlap.  If you select multiple starbases by holding CTRL and dragging a box around them, you will see the areas that they affect light up, and any areas where they overlap will be brighter.
