Why dont the boxes for join empire or leave empire work?

I't wont let me join or leave an empire or do anything else, i have to always refresh the page.

Hello,

I'm afraid I'm going to need some more information on exactly what is happening when you attempt to join or leave an empire. Also, please list your operating system, the browser you are using and the full version number of the browser you are using.

Please be aware that the metaverse website will only function properly with IE6 or Firefox 1.5.0.4. Unfortunately the metaverse does not function completely with Opera, Safari or any other minor browser.

i fixed the problem i just used firefox instead of internet explorer
