Game problems

Getting this game working sucks. They need to sort this out. The codes don't work and getting one that does takes ages.

A little more detail would be nice.

Post the contents of your debug.err file. Let's see what you are doing that might be the problem.
If you installed the game to the default location it will be in the C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2 folder.
Just open it with Notepad, select all, copy and paste it in the post.

I take it you are referring to an issue with your serial number? Saying as such may have aided your initial post and the rest of us may have been more sympathetic towards your plight.

On a lighter note, have you checked your 'spam' box as emails from Stardock do tend to get sent there frequently. Also please read This Thread for some additional details on serial number errors.

Bought my copy off-the-shelf, haven't had any problems with the serial number. You can copy the number to the clipboard and paste it. Don't have to type that horribly long string of numbers if you just save once to a text file or pull it out of an email.
