The Worst Star Trek Episode

Sue me! I love Star Trek

After a rough day at work (not bad, but I think I am going to have to tell some users their data is gone, but we are still working on it), I came home, popped a brew, turned on the TV to my Favorite Series (all of them), and am insulted by the worst season premier of any Star Trek Series period!

OK, flame suit on, I will tell you.

Far Point Station and the series - TNG.

I hated TNG at first as it was not the original (and unlike Zoomba, I saw the Original in the original!).  And When they announced a new series I was excited!  But after viewing it, I was very disappointed!

I thought the new series sucked and I hated it. I did some Buddha introspection (Thanks Dharma) and decided that perhaps it was because I loved the old series so much.  So I decided to keep watching.  best decision I ever made!

TNG turned out to be almost as good (and in some respects better) than the original, and I love watching every repeat, even though I have seen them all already.

Except Far point Station!  After 20 years, that episode (episodes?) still suck!  I wish they would have introduced the series better.  It took me 2 seasons to finally not gag when I saw Deanna Troi!

So the Kevlar is on, and Trekkies, flame away!  I will not apologize for dissing that episode (episodes?)!

The Royale?

Is that the ship that crashes and the aliens buid the casino based on the book the astronaut had on him? I love that one. They could not finish the story because they did not have the ending of the book, so they just started it over again.

It was so "twilight zone."

I like those tribble thingies. they were cool...

Oh YES!  "The Trouble With Tribbles!"  loved this one,  and also the one where they're on this planet where their thoughts become reality,  like a tiger attacking, a bomber plane, Finnegan************VBS******* knights on horses! all kinds of strange things!

"I'm a blogger,  not a doctor!"  hehee

Yea, that one was pretty sorry too.  But Far Point Station still has my vote.

Doc, I hated that too. The station was alive, is that the one?

Yea, it was an alien that the natives had caught and forced to become a Way Station for Star Fleet.

That is one of my favorites as well.  But again, a thread never picked up in future series.  A shame, they could have had fun with that one.

I know exactly how you feel on this one. I had the same problem with TNG when it first aired. I don't remember seeing the originals as first runs, but grew up on the reruns in the 70's.

I had trouble with the whole first season of TNG, but the one that stands out for me was "Wesley Crusher and the Disneyland Sex Planet" episode. Picard should have listened to the Prime Directive and left Wesley to die so he would be put out of our misery! Second runner up would be the introduction of the Ferengi. The big bad race that would eat you turned out to be little children chanting "He did it! He did it! don't hurt us!" Bah!

I missed the entire second season and much of the third before I came back to watching them again. I'm glad I did though. It got better.

Second runner up would be the introduction of the Ferengi.

The Ferengi got a lot better, and a lot less technologically advanced, between that episode and then the DS9 series.
