Looking to legally trade games, movies, music?

Give Switchdiscs a try

Heres a potential site for legally trading around games, music and movies that is fairly new, and not very well known:

Switchdiscs.com

They are a bit like Peerflix in that trades ("switches") are done to earn Switch dollars or points usable only within the Switchdiscs site. On the plus side, though, they don't charge fees (like Peerflix does), they *do encourage* sending along all original materials (unlike Peerflix's just send the disc concept), and best of all for me, they let you trade just about any type of disc -- DVD movies, console video games, or music CDs for any type of disc you want.

As an example, you can earn some switchbucs from trading in music CDs to then use to buy some video games for your favorite system. You could trade in some video games and use the switchbucs earned from those to get yourself some music CDs or a couple of DVD movies. The idea being you aren't limited to using the bucs you earn from your trades for the same type of items as what you traded away.

It's an up-and-coming system and unfortunately the inventory for the most popular items isn't as high as it could be, mostly because not that many people are familar with the site yet.

There's some other advantages in that you aren't required to actually sell or trade away items you list. You can choose to take the items off the system if you sell or trade them away elsewhere, so you can make use of Switchdiscs to help guage interest and determine if something you have seems worth trading away in exchange for something else.

In anycase, I don't get any referral fees (don't want any, don't get any, don't need any) or any such from them by sending anyone there, but I figure some of the people that have played through games they bought and are tired of, or movies that they no longer want to keep might want to think about putting stuff up for trade. There is a guarantee on items that get traded away (not guaranteed to get that item back, but you will absolutely be compensated for the value of the item if it's lost along the way) which are lost in the mail, so it's really a no-lose situation to give them a try, at least assuming that you can find something to spend the switchbucs you earn on.
