Starbases, any way to research tech to move them?

I was just wondering if there is a way that you can move a starbase that's previously been built?

no- cant actually "move" a starbase (i,e with engines)



maybe the game should make tugs?

I kind of like the idea for a "Death Star", but give it a real slow speed like .25-.5, not increasable by adding engines.

I kinda like the idea of space tugs that echelon mentioned but maybe with a low max speed or something; I mean otherwise you have a huge ball of death rocketing around the galaxy and that would kcik everyones ass from here to... there... Too unblancing in otherwords... Actually scrap that I've gone off the idea of a huge ball of death, custom ships are good enough for me...

Dude! They should do like they did in that episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine where they used their sheilds to create a low level warp field to reduce the mass of the starbase enough so that their station keeping thrusters would be able to propel them to the wormhole! OMG it is so simple, why didn I think of this before? I'm going to get my scientists right on it!!1!!!
