Sound/music bug?

While playing, whenever event music (like when talking to another race) starts to play on top of the normal music, there is much snapping and popping sounds in the backround.

Now, I listened the MP3's with an audio player, and they seem just fine.

I have SBLive Value, with latest drivers for XP.

Should I install some specific MP3 codecs to fix this problem, or something else? I have installed a lot of different codecs, maybe something in those has broken the codecs Galciv uses to play MP3's?

same here Tomi,

Out of interest I have an SB Audigy soundcard and the latest drivers but I susect a conflict in my case may be with my mobo chipset. I have an Athlon board running a Via KT133 chipset with the '4in1' drivers. I have read on several hardware forums that Creative cards don't like Via chipsets.

We've been aware that there's problems with the mp3 code player code but so far it hasn't been a high enough priority to concentrate on fixing it. We will be working on it very soon.
