Crash during next turn - trap 5 at 0056BB24

This one has an address very close to a couple that Fredrik Jacobsson reported but the call list is different so I figured the address was more coincidental than specific to the crash. Here is the SE report, and I have saved the game. Cari, if you want a good idea of what I was doing I can send it to you.

=======================

This was very near the end of the game. I have acquired all of the planets of the other races except for two, one of the Torians and one of the Bradians.

I just got this again, same trap address and the same call stack addresses, and again during next turn processing, but this time I got the sound of a ship leaving. I checked the galciv\music directory and found the same sound in "arise.mp3". This sound track must be significant, because I have never heard the game use it until now. I would be curious to know what event this sound is used with.

Were you exploring an anomaly?

There is a possibility that I was but if so it was with a surveyor on autopilot. Also restarting the game was successful both times.

Hey lucky Jack -
how do you get all that logging info -

is there a place I need to look?

Star Ranger,

SD provides an application that intercepts traps, gathers the data, and puts it all in a file. You can then browse the file and/or send the file to SD or post it on this forum. The application is called SmartException. It has been quite some time since the link to it has been posted on this forum so the thread has cycled off into the archives. Perhaps you should ask CariElf to pop it back or start a new thread with the link to the download PLUS the instructions.
