Item adding in 1.7 LH

So I've had Fallen Enchantress for a long time now, recently the Legendary Heros came on sale with all the DLCs, So I bought it and then installed it and my custom items that I added in the base game no longer work, I tried to just copy a item change the name, added my custom stats, edited it for my custom stats and per-requirements, when I get into game its not there for sovereign customization or unit design, I made sure that in the editing i made it available for both unit and sovereign design and not hero only, I managed to some how managed to get it for the sovereign creation but my units can't use it at all, what am I doing wrong that is not allowing me to use them or my units?

 

Any help with this and I would be most grateful.

Show us the XML you have. Also make sure you have mods enabled in options. And that you placed the files in the new LH mods folder.

I see, so I can't just add them to the CoreArmors like in the base game.

I will try putting them in the mods folder first and go from there. but here is my editing doc sense I make a text and edit it there instead of in the main file, also the prereq is a ability that I added so only I can use them.

 

Edit: I added the file to the mods folder but still it only adds it to the sovereign creation.

You can't have prereqs on the sovereign screen. 

Try removing the prereq and see if the item appears for your units.

Also note that the artdefs you've chosen (Art_PlateBreastpiece_LadyUmber and so on) require DLC and can only be worn by females.

But in the base game I was able to have the prereqs for the faction, like Archers for the bows and it worked and I do know that it is for the DLC that I have and I know that it is for Females only, it is why I chose it.

Like I said, My sovereign can use it but my units can't but before when I had the same set up it would allow my units to do so, Also I tried to use a base game item and it still doesn't work.

I plugged the boots in and it shows up in game for standard race females. Are you remembering to start a new game after you've changed XML?

That is weird them I even take the base game armor and items and take out all the prereqs and only my sovereign can stil use them and I can't use them for any of my units, I am completely stumped, do you think a fresh full install of the base game, LH and all the DLC is needed?

I make a custom Faction, The race bonus is Ironeers, I've taken items from fallen enchantress base game and I still can't get it to work, it is starting to annoy me, I just really want to have some fun with the game is all with my own custom items.

Hey,

Your problem might lie with this tag:

 <AdditionalTrainingTurns>0.1</AdditionalTrainingTurns>

All the official items have round numbers for those additional training turns. So that pesky decimal might be the issue.

I've tried deleting the additional training turns an even edited the stats and added required resources but I still can't use them in my unit design.

This is how it looks now, I copied the CoreArmor file, deleted everything in it but the first lines and added the armors and placed it in the MyDocuments/LH/Mods/data/English folder.

Another option to explore: that custom "IronWill" player ability, is it supposed to unlock those items when selected? If it's a yes then the prereq needs to be changed to:

@Primal_Savage That is where I have it and it added it to only my sovereign tho sadly.

 

@Hellions THANK YOU! I got rid of the restricted infront of the ability option in the prereq and it works now THANK YOU SO MUCH!
