Hi, everyone, I just picked up the game yesterday and was really interested in the custom factions and sovereigns, then I just hope that I can find a mod that gives you more choices for the traits and abilities(like gives u more points or traits space for the faction, sovereign and units) without too much change of the other aspects of the game(at least not right now )

  then I came here but didnt really find what I was looking for, so Im hoping someone here may give me some suggestions or links for the mods that fits the new updated LH vision(1.70,I think)

  with more access for mana is even better(just need modify the amount you gained from the meditation spell, which shouldnt be that complicate)

  if there isnt any mod that fit my requirements, could anyone help to learn some easy modding so that I can do it myself?

There are a lot of different mods and several may be what you are looking for. Here is a list of mods. There are a few that add custom sovereigns and traits, and if you really want there is a leader pack DLC that will give you more choices for sovereigns and such.

http://forums.elementalgame.com/446461/

It is also very easy to mod the game. You can create your own custom sovereign in the game and if you want to add traits and abilities there are a lot of examples you can find from the other modders that will do that. Just model your stuff after that and you should be fine.

    I already read those intros of mods but they changed 2 much aspects of the game, my request was simple..... just hope can find a way to add more traits points to spend for the custom factions and sovereigns. and maybe find a way to adjust the mana produce amount from meditation.

    I know its bit broke the balance but I only play single player should not really offend anyone right?

If you want to change how much mana meditation does for you you can simply make an xml file and put it into the mod folder like this one.

<SpellDefs>
    <SpellDef InternalName="Meditation">
        <DisplayName>Meditation</DisplayName>

+1 Mana per Essence in the enchanted city.

        <IconFG>S_Meditation_Icon.png</IconFG>
        <AutoUnlock>1</AutoUnlock>
        <CanStack>0</CanStack>
        <SpellBookSortCategory>City</SpellBookSortCategory>
        <SpellBookSortSubCategory>CityEnchantment</SpellBookSortSubCategory>
        <SpellType>Strategic</SpellType>
        <SpellClass>ImpResourceBooster</SpellClass>
        <SpellSubClass>Other</SpellSubClass>
        <SpellTargetType>FriendlyCity</SpellTargetType>
        <CasterMustBeSov>1</CasterMustBeSov>
        <GameModifier>
            <ModType>Resource</ModType>
            <Attribute>Mana</Attribute>
            <Duration>-1</Duration>
            <HasUpgradableValue>1</HasUpgradableValue>
            <PerTurn>1</PerTurn>
            <Calculate InternalName="Calc" ValueOwner="TargetCity">
                <Expression>[TileYieldEssence] * 2</Expression>
            </Calculate>
            <Calculate InternalName="Value">
                <Expression>[Calc]</Expression>
            </Calculate>
        </GameModifier>
        <ValidTerrainCategory>City</ValidTerrainCategory>
        <AIData AIPersonality="AI_General">
            <AIPriority>100</AIPriority>
        </AIData>
        <HitSoundFX>Spell_Inspiration_01</HitSoundFX>
        <SpellCastEffectName>Brilliance</SpellCastEffectName>
        <SpellCastEffectScale>.4</SpellCastEffectScale>
        <SpellDefEffect>
            <EffectName>S_Inspiration_Particle</EffectName>
            <LocalPosition>0,0,0</LocalPosition>
            <EffectScale>0.75</EffectScale>
            <EffectDelay>0.5</EffectDelay>
            <SnapToTerrain>1</SnapToTerrain>
        </SpellDefEffect>
    </SpellDef>
</SpellDefs>

If you put this in an xml file and put this in the mods folder and enable mods this will change the meditation ability to give you twice as much mana as before. The bolded edit shows that it is now twice as much as the tile essence.

The process you described is exactly the way to do it. You need to however start a new game and ensure that mods are enabled.

So enable mods.

Restart program.

Start new game.

Meditation needs a city with essence to function.

For the sovereign customization look in the elemental Defs files (unfortunately, you must edit this file directly). And change the value here

<SovereignCreationCustomizationPoints>6</SovereignCreationCustomizationPoints>

For factions, I don't know where the customization points are for that one. But you can always create any faction and then edit the xml file in your documents folder to include all the abilities you want.

Quoting X-ZephyrAquans,
where can I make the trait points from 3 to 6 for factions or 6 to 10 for sovereigns

This is a Sovereign Weakness and a Faction Weakness. As they are listed as weaknesses, they add points to your point total when selected: +4 (Sovereign) and +3 (Faction). They don't do anything bad, they just add points to your total.

<AbilityBonuses>

<AbilityBonus InternalName="Champion_Weakness">
<AbilityBonusType>Champion_Talent</AbilityBonusType>
<AbilityBonusOption InternalName="Plus_4">
<DisplayName>+4</DisplayName>

+4

<GameModifier>
<Provides>+4</Provides>
</GameModifier>
<Cost>-4</Cost>
<Icon>FE_RedLine.png</Icon>
<Type>Weakness</Type>
</AbilityBonusOption>
</AbilityBonus>

<AbilityBonus InternalName="Player_Weakness">
<AbilityBonusType>Player</AbilityBonusType>
<AbilityBonusOption InternalName="Plus_3">
<DisplayName>+3</DisplayName>

+3

<GameModifier>
<Provides>+3</Provides>
</GameModifier>
<Cost>-3</Cost>
<Icon>FE_RedLine.png</Icon>
<Type>Weakness</Type>
</AbilityBonusOption>
<AbilityBonus>

</AbilityBonuses>

Quoting X-ZephyrAquans,
is there a way to get the Procipnee's Crown for custom sovereigns?

Procipinee's Crown is available under the tab "Appearance":

Appearance > Equipment > Accessories

Quoting X-ZephyrAquans,
and maybe find a way to adjust the mana produce amount from meditation.

When you mod a Core spell you don't need to recopy everything, you only need to redo the GameModifiers. So, assuming you want a +5 meditation spell, you just do this (Which also removes the Essence requirement):

<SpellDefs>

<SpellDef InternalName="Meditation">
<RequiresEssenceSlot>0</RequiresEssenceSlot>

+5 Mana per Season in the enchanted city.

<GameModifier>
<ModType>Resource</ModType>
<Attribute>Mana</Attribute>
<Duration>-1</Duration>
<PerTurn>1</PerTurn>
<Value>5</Value>
</GameModifier>
</SpellDef>

</SpellDefs>
