In the locate file section:

DLC02_Quests.xml

 

In the rename to section:

DLC02_Quests.xml

 

 

I'm assuming there is a copy/paste error and that second one should be:

DLC02_Quests.no

8. XtraDeconstruct comes preloaded with a Revamped version of Path of the Ninja MOD:

    IF missing DLC02 (Quest Pack), delete:
    XM_PN_Abilities_D2.xml

    Located in:
    \Mods\XtraDeconstruct\M_AlphaCities\XM_PN_Abilities_D2.xml


    IF you don't want to use this MOD, just delete the entire folder:
    \Mods\XtraDeconstruct\M_PathOfTheNinja\

 

Seems like that path in the Located in: section is wrong and should be similar to line below.

Quick question: I see all the different compatibility files on Nexus. If I load all those mods at once + deconstruct and the deconstruct compatibility files, will the other mods all play nice together? Or are some of them incompatible with each other, and the compatibility files are meant for picking and choosing only a few of them? Thanks!

I think I've followed all the mod installation instructions, but I can't seem to get it working correctly. My biggest issues is the heroes on the strategic map. When I recruit them they don't show up on the side screen as an army. In addition, when they die they don't go to my capital, but instead disappear altogether.

Other issues I've seen: I'm playing as a mage character with "the tower" item in my inventory, but when I use the item my sovereign gets path of the assassin instead of path of the mage.

I also found that darkling warriors couldn't hit my assassin. This was over +10 rounds of them missing every single attack.

Any suggestions on where I went wrong with the installation?

Hello again Primal,

Great work once again. I can not see playing LH without your mod.

I have been working on my own adjustments (preferences). Like before, I have a few questions about modding the game

Is there a setting for item rarity that will not add an item to a random drop?

Could you tell me in what file I can find the unit stats for the Iron Golem?

I do not believe snaking has been working for me, is there something special I need to do to get it to work? (I did check the user guide)

I have not checked yet but have you included spells for the other cult secrets besides fire and air?

 

I also have a suggestion/question.

Is there a way to have Indoctrination work for all the champions you have? The reason for this is simple. If you have a sov that does not explore and fight or does not do it often, it is hard to get faithfuls. Maybe you could add a tech that allows champions to get faithfuls as the sov?

So, I've been away from LH for a year or so, since a little before patch 1.7 was released. I had a different and smaller mod suite setup at that time that wasn't 100% compatible and had some glitches.

It took some work but I have XtraDeconstruct set up and working with most of the other compatible mods. Thanks @Primal_Savage for answering my various questions while I was working through setup.

Aside from one crash on attempting to generate a new map with resource and faction selections that were probably too high, one or two game freezes at end of turn, and some weird flickering of the shading for eligible movement tiles on my sovereign turn in tactical, I haven't really had any problems so far. I figured the crashes were probably a memory issue.

The fact I've had that degree of stability with a larger total number of compatible mods loaded is impressive. I am currently playtesting a custom undead sovereign/faction I XML edited to be overpowered, with the intent to have it as an NPC enemy in future games. Greatly appreciate the sovereign forced path consumable helping with that concept. Afterwards I am going to try an undead republic just for giggles to see what happens with the unrest mechanics.

I'm not really missing more than one or two significant features from my 1.6 mods. You preloaded a revamped Outpost Upgrades, which is neat, and several mod features I thought I'd lost to upgrading existed in different implementations within this mod suite. The only old feature I would say I really miss is the revised Age of Fangs content from Blood & Mana (fleshed out mercenary camps and heavy unit tech for each faction a la Ironeer Golems).

In terms of newer content I'm curious about possible future compatibility for Demons and Wizards and davrovana's Terraforming.

For Demons & Wizards, will the overlap in the Mage overhaul and the Ranger there vs Path of the Ranger be an issue? I've not previously played D&W - the feature set looks interesting but I have no frame of reference for the Mage and Ranger changes in it relative to what I have loaded.
