I got a message that Yithril had cast Frozen Bones on one of my cities.
The problem is that I have not yet met Yithril.
If they are within range to see my city why haven't I got a greeting from them?
Isn't this an act of war?
The problem is that I had no contact with Yithril. If I can't see them how can they see me?
I had the same experience with an unmet faction casting Antipathy on my capital. They could've at least said "Hello" first! I didn't even know they were in the game.
I think it is a bug. The AI should not be able to cast Debuffs on your cities before it has even seen any of your cities or units.
Are there any of those currently in the game or any mods? I can't think of any. I don't think Stealthy affects anything other than the monsters being less likely to attack.
what difficulty are you playing?
It was either Expert or Ridiculous
That explains it, the ai gets a vision bonus on those difficulties.
