Creating a champion that CAN'T equip anything

Tittle.

Also if i want to make him be able to have potions on him, etc.

Let's say i want to make a wolf champion with it's own perk tree but don't want it to be able to equip armor, swords etc but be able to equip consumable (worst case i don't really care about consumable)

If you give him a <UnitModelType>I_made_this_up</UnitModelType> he will be blocked from mounts, shields, armor, cloaks and weapons but he can still equip accessories.

So basically if the unit type model is anything other than a Man-like unit he wont be able to equip anything but accessories?

Well, no, you can create your own groups of modeltypes if you want to. Have a unit that can equip a helm but not leggings, and a unit that can equip weapons but not shields and so on. The game just hasn't set up those yet.

Right now there are broadly two groups set up (each divided into subgroups). One that can wear everything. And then another group used for Iron Golems, Trolls, Juggernauts, Ogres and so on. The second group can't equip armor or mounts, but they can still equip weapons, shields and accessories. And I think there's a tiger champion running around which can't equip anything but accessories - if I remember right it just doesn't belong to any group.

Hellions created a Champion Bonanza mod with a quest-reward spider Champion that cannot equip anything but accessories. Also to note, it also cannot equip mounts. You can try downloading it and searching for the unit "Mhoorsh".

Look at the file for Ascian. Ascian is an Assassin Champion, but has a LOT of stuff blocked out r.e. options. As I remember, only the traits tree is still available (no items, trading, shop, etc.).

ascian DOES support trading, shopping, accessories and consumables, BUT not weapons/armour/clothing, I have collected ascian in several games now and have bought accessories/consumables in the shop and traded accessories/consumables between it and other heros/sov, BUT was NOT able to equip weapons/armour/clothing on ascian.

Thanks for the clarification Harpo! I haven't had Ascian in a game long enough to have that sink in (I just remember a blank screen for something other than traits when I clicked on a button). That being said, it sounds like the OP wants to be able to equip potions and such, so Ascian's framework is probably the ticket he's looking for.

Unless Ascian changed in some way in 1.1 that we aren't aware of in this regard. I'm in playtesting mode at the moment, but I could reload a save game where I (finally) acquired Ascian... or just equip Ascian immediately (via token) and see what happens.

Plus, I'm good with Ascian being able to equip amulets and such. He/She just gets the collarized version...

Edit: Verified - Ascian CAN trade and equip accessories.

if the OP really wants a no additions/options/accessories/armour/mounts/clothes, it might be better to look at the beasts eg cavebear,bear,panther(from the circus) and perhaps even the elementals(do not know about these as I usually play against them not with them)
