Air Elemental does. But it is a bit disappointing to see a lightning dragon just walk across the map.
I would like to see them fly over water and other impassable terrain as well.

Parrotmath had come up with a workaround I can mod in later... but it would be nice to see in the regular game...
Well it really doesn't fly. More like it hovers above the ground.
the air elemental does NOT fly during tactical battles. that's my point. i think it should. it gets stuck behind other troops and impassable tiles like a statue.
Ahhh. Much more clear. I thought you were commenting on purely the animation.
In general, I don't understand why you can't pass through your own units on your way to another square that's unoccupied.
The air elemental used to be able to fly onto non-ground squares during battle, but they took it out. I can just see human players staying safe in the impassable area than taking two turns in a row to attack a unit and then retreat into the impassable again.
(Air elementals are pretty fast.)
that is why I made a `teleport` type spell allowing them to `fly` to locations on the battle field. Similar to blink. Basically gives you the ability to fly then attack, it has a cool-down of something like 3 turns. To represent exertion of flying in the tactical scale. But it allows for that mobility the people are asking for. It also has a limited range of around 3 or so... don't quite remember what amount I did, but that is the only solution they can implement and if the AI could use it to appropriate effect, (similar to the blink spell) it should work out great as an ability for the flying air elementals.
