[.92][crash] Game crashes when other Programm connects to internet

The game seems to consistently crash, if some other Programm tries to establish an internet Connection eg for accessing an update site and is asking if it should go ahead with it.

The problem starts with an Windows error message "DIV..." (sorry, klicked the message away before I realized that it would crash the game.) Then the game says good bye.

In this case the Trigger was the Apple update Service for iTunes, etc. which popped up. When I okayed the update, the game crashed after the "DIV..." message was shown. The update for Apple was successful, so the error must have been triggered by the game.

Sounds like your other app is stealing focus and causing a DirectX error. Are you running the game in windowed mode? It's been defaulted to run in a window that looks like fullscreen for some time, since windowed mode tends to eliminate a lot of those sort of window-swapping issues.

2 questions:

1. Where do I Change the mode to windowed or vice versa? Is it the resultion selection? If I select "Desktop" I am not windowed, otherwise I am? (Currently my Setting is "Desktop Resolution" which was the Default Setting.

2. Shouldn't the game protect itself against the steal none-the-less, I do not see this happing in other games?

If you haven't changed the setting then it's already running windowed (if you alt-tab, you should see the game stay up behind your other windows instead of minimizing). So you may have something else going on, and should provide your debug.err file and any crash dump file that was generated for the devs to review and investigate.
