Children of Storm

A high fantasy mod pack for Fallen Enchantress: Legendary heroes by Heavenfall, with help from EviliroN and jeffqyzt2. Players are advised to not play with the Rivermod on Huge maps, as the game may have issues with memory then. If you are having issues with world resources, such as iron ore, not appearing in your game - delete the Rivermod folder and start a new game. This only affects a small number of players for unknown reasons.

 Thanks Heavenfall, I redown loaded the mod from Nexus and this time it worked, would have done that yesterday but was having trouble connecting to nexus for some reason

Demonhounds are currently tamable.  I think they used to be, then that was changed to prevent ridiculous OP issues?

Hello,

I'm having trouble making the mod work.  I have the steam version, fully updated.  I have 1.1b of the Children of Storm mod from the nexus (as of June 16).

I have extracted the folders to the correct place (in Documents, not in the steamapp directory).  I put all the folders into /mods and the tactical maps into their correct place. 

I have enabled mods in the game settings and restarted.

Edit: I am running the steamapp .exe as administrator.

Yet when I start the game and choose "New Game," I only see the Vanilla factions and the ones I created previously (nota bene: I omitted the _NoVanillaSov folder when installing).  What am I doing wrong?

I have no other mods installed except the "ChampionBonanza.xml" under /Units and the new Icons that mod uses under /Units/Icons. (edit: and the ChampionBonanza quests xml under /Quests)

Apologies if this has been answered already.  I speed-read the previous posts and did not see anything specific.

because they are two DIFFERENT games, but both use the same game engine and are by the same people, therefor are similar

1) is  it possible  to choose champion from a list  after getting  Fame!  Its,  just  pains me  to reload  until i get the champion i want!

2) Same with random maps :  is it  possible  that  random maps add  all possible quest, rivers, special units and  SPAWN new  mobs  more frequently.

3) love  faction wich may transform shards but  shame its only life or  death  and  its limited only to some Faction would be great  if Gnomes could transofrm to earth, Fire Goleme to Fire and so on.  Ana  plans  to do it?

4) is  it possible  to create own factioin without losing bonuses ? read wiki

1) No.

2) You can make your own map in the workshop map editor.

3) No plans to do it, if everyone can do it it ceases to be a fun mechanic.

4) No, but you can edit the faction's XML after you've created it in Documents\My Games\LegendaryHeroes\Race. Keep in mind custom factions based on these new races are not supported, so you'll need to figure these things out yourself.

Wonderful Mod!!

 

Some questions:

My Angel Champion could use a mount, too?

The new recruitable monsters: I played on a uge map and only find one of these lairs, is there anything that influences how many I could expect?

Is that Fallen vs Men thing still present in CoS?

The Warrior-Trait vs Dragons, there is sth. written about +10 vs Dragons, - 10vs Dragons.

The -, does it only apply to "if you are a dragon"?

2) You can change the odds of those lairs appearing in the XML ,otherwise no.

3) Empire vs Kingdom? Yes.

4) The sum total should be "+10 attack vs dragons unless this unit is dragon".

wanted to throw in, that I would also like mercanery faction more then merchantlord faction.

giving them additional money for loot in every fight to make the sustainable and for another bloodline perk - they could reduce global unrest by 1 for every 100 gildar in store. you can easily get a good stroy for that like - when the war will be over we'll have enough for a good living

I would take the master of trade and similar from them but give them that diplo ability to buy over enemy unit (no monster or animal) with gildar (for say 25 times (attack + defense) times (move above 2) times (number of special abilities/spells above 2)) or whatever the value.

I would also make all their units susceptible to such attack. Who fight with a sword ...

 

that would make them very war and very gildar oriented faction

I made Colopatiron a vassal, I can give her any mount I can buy (Stalker, Slag, Horse, War Boar...).

Perhaps because she was AI before or because she has this extra-Trait (Extra move)?

Go into unit design window, where you normally select male or female for new unit. There is third option Juggernaut. I will add unit designs for that next version.

I will also fix the Angel sovereign being able to ride mounts and such

The "Anti magic"-Traits of the golems, there is mentioned "if has at least one spellbook-trait", so it is only against champions or against everybody/everything that can cast Spells?
