[.80 bug] Having to target in wrong hex.

This often happens to me.

In tactical combat when I try to hit a enemy I have to click the hex next to it to deliver the blow. Hovering over the enemy unit itself gives no option for attack. Usually I need to hover over the empty hex to the units right, to be able to attack.

I've noticed what you're talking about, though from what I've seen it seems more like the targeting is too sensitive to not being in the right area, usually because of terrain in the way. IMO it's just that the starting camera angles are terrible for actually targeting anything rather than an issue with targeting itself.

I've noticed the same thing - it's much worse on some tactical maps than others. I think the worst is the one that looks like a narrow canyon.

Rotating the map view does help.

I have encountered this too. It seems like on the tactical map in .8 that unless you click on the exact center of the tile it won't work. I didn't notice it in FE or .75, but it might have been in earlier versions too, but I didn't notice it as much. I have pictures backing this up.

Trying to use crushing blow against a river slag in the above photo. Since I was clicking the exact center of the hex, it's saying the target is out of range.

In the above photo I am clicking in the enemy's tile, but once again since it's not the exact center, the game doesn't credit me for targeting an enemy.

This is one of the most frustrating aspects of the game for me.

I have also been next to my target, with a unit either side of it, and the game will not allow me to hit it. This has only happened to me twice so far.

I have also ONCE had the same sort of thing happen on movement. The hex is in range. and is empty, yet I cannot move to it.
